Most men who come to my office have already heard about the P-Shot® (Priapus Shot®). They know it uses Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) from their own blood and are interested in a natural, non-surgical treatment to improve erectile function and sexual performance.
Lately, however, many patients have been asking me a different question:
“Can adding Botox make the P-Shot® work even better?”
The answer is that for carefully selected patients, yes. The reason is simple—PRP and Botox work in completely different ways, and combining them may provide benefits that neither treatment provides alone.
The P-Shot® and Botox Have Different Jobs
The P-Shot® is designed to stimulate your body’s natural healing response. A small sample of your blood is processed to concentrate the platelets and growth factors before being injected into specific areas of the penis.
Over time, these growth factors may stimulate the formation of:
- New blood vessels
- New collagen
- New nerve tissue
The goal is healthier erectile tissue and improved blood flow using your body’s own regenerative ability.
Botox works very differently.
When injected into carefully selected areas of the penis, Priapus Toxin™ (Botox®) may promote relaxation of smooth muscle within the erectile tissues and their blood supply, potentially improving blood flow and cavernosal filling.
Why I Combine the Two Treatments
One of the advantages of combining these treatments is that patients often notice changes sooner than they would with PRP alone.
Many of my patients report increased penile fullness, girth, and even length within 10 to 14 days, primarily from the effects of the Botox. In my practice, I typically use 100 units of Priapus Toxin™, and its effects may last for up to six months.
The PRP continues working differently. During the following weeks and months, the platelet-derived growth factors may stimulate the development of new blood vessels, collagen, and nerve tissue. This longer-term regenerative process is one reason many patients continue to notice improvement after the initial Botox effect.
Most patients report an increase in penile girth, and many also notice increased length. While every patient is different, some patients have reported gains of one to two inches in length and/or girth. Patients who choose additional treatments often continue to see progressive improvement over time.
Because every patient responds differently, individual results cannot be guaranteed.
Is Everyone a Candidate?
No.
Some men do extremely well with the P-Shot® alone. Others may benefit from combining PRP with Priapus Toxin™.
During your consultation, I consider your age, medical history, current erectile function, previous treatments, overall health, and personal goals before recommending a treatment plan. I believe every patient deserves an individualized approach rather than a one-size-fits-all treatment.
Does the Procedure Hurt?
This is one of the first questions I hear.
The procedure is performed in the office using local anesthesia to maximize comfort. Most patients tell me the treatment was much easier than they expected and are able to return to normal daily activities shortly afterward.
